Mushroom wine is a great idea as well.

Man I brewed my first bud beer like two months ago. I dry (weed) hopped it. Aside from the groovy effects, it was honestly the best tasting beer I have ever made. I had some super dank bud though. Real stinky and flavorful. And I have about 12 or batches of beer under my belt and only ruined 1 or 2 batches. So out of the 10 good tasting ones I have succeeded at brewing.. the bud beer is still the best. Get on top of it bro.

When I was a teen, made mead in my bedroom.... Wild honey

Have seen wine extractions listed.... But cool idea with the fermenting with mushrooms. Wonder if you made a black current -mushroom wine... Being black currents are a bit of a MAOI... Hmmmmm.... Or ginger mead...

Don't suppose you could use weight vice mushroom count? Get tons of cyans here, be willing to give it a try too.

Weight as in 'how many grams' vice count as in '100 mushrooms'

Only a consistency issue... I would probably figure about 12 -18 gm per 750 ml bottle for 4 glasses per bottle...  Would be using cyans...

went out and about last night, only found a patch of 14.. im traveling half of the country tonight to where my friend picks, she says theres loads, also im going to start propagating my own, im sending away from some golden teacher from free spore ring :smile:

I made some wine then dropped 1/4 sac powdered into it. Let it sit for a few days then separated.

POured some honey into the wine and it restarted the fermentation bubbling and what not.

Let that go for about a month......  i drank and it was still active.

Conclusion: The active compounds were not damaged by fermentation.

I would be interested to see if you could put the shroom juice in at the beginning without damage.

well, i travelled about 150km and came back with 400 odd libs, i think that will be enough, woks out at about 20 a glass..

@preschooler, was it a 1/4 gram or what?

ok, ive collected 500 in total, ground them up in a food processor, today im going to get milton to sterilize the fermentation container and start the wine. ive been taking pictures as i go so ill post everything when im finished :smile:

1/4 ounce....(didn't drink all at one)..... really enjoyed it.

I would try with beer next time.... beer only takes around 30-60 days to full drinkability.

im going to make a cider as well if i pick enough tonight, for now its gunna be honey mead wine aged for at least 6months until festy season.

Good luck man. Ive been making wine for a few years now too. Ive never made mead, mostly fruit wines. Ive always thought the way I would do it is add whole dried mushrooms into the secondary and just filter it out when I rack it. Be sure to post results.

One way I have always wanted to try but have not found my self in the right situation yet would be to extract the psilocybin into really clear runny honey and then use the honey to make mead! It would be a long process but definitely interesting!
