Tropico 4

Been FPS'n the shit out of my hand-eye coordination lately so I figured I'd try a good ole City Building game. I've restarted 3-4x; each time after I catch a good glimpse of a solid tactic. Pretty good so far. Very in-depth, and have barely scratched the surface I'm sure (politcs and favor, go figure). Comedic/caricature-type npc's, killer latin music...killer!! [well, the 1st couple hours], touchy AI reactions (+1 rent will piss them off..at least in the beginning). Overall, not bad. Was never too much of fan of the AoE series, or really any of the RTS games. But used to play alot of the Impressions Games: Pharaoh, Zeus and Posiedon, I know, 100 fekkin years ago, but still quality.

It's pretty hard to get into but I played it a few months back...

You should look into the total war series :feelsgoodman:

It just came out a week or so ago. And not a big RTS guy, though I have all those TW games. The city building is more my personal style when it comes to 'god-type' games.

yeah city building is nice, fun and laid back. A city building game I play is grand ages of rome (not sure if it's a sequel to imperium romanum, it's similar but a lot more in depth) and it has a mention in the credits to the original creators of Tropico.

I do like the roman aspect of it. Imperium romanum in free build is "How many gardens can I build?" I like making a corridor by having a road, planting two arches of triumph on it, then placing statues either side.
