On the x-axis? It is a ratio so there are no units.
(active dose)/(lethal dose)
I agree that it is far from perfect though. For instance, how is the y-axis calculated?

Its impossible to create a chart. Tobacco for me couldn't be further from addictive, yet Ketamine is. It's completely subjective on the individual. Just another way for authorities to highlight bullshit claims when demonising drugs i guess.
They should make a graph x axis being enjoyability and y axis being cost. That would help alot of people make the right decisions.

When used responsibly, opiates/oids are incredibly safe. People who overdose do it to themselves, it does not happen with responsible use. Funnily enough the 2 legal, regulated and controlled drugs on there are up there as most physically harmful. Fuckin government.

I dunno why these charts are always so wrong. The ld50 of ketamine is huge. Only deaths you're going to find are people having accidents, mixing it, or allergic to it.
Nicotine is BY FAR the most addictive substance, the numbers are off the chart rediculous for addiction rates.
If you're going to by the extent of physical dependance, something like alchohol or benzo's would still be way higher than opiates.
