owls said: what about ginkgo?
I've also tried ginkgo haha I found it helped my memory a bit, but not anything amazing. I'm a barista (make coffee) - and I have to memorize a lot of orders and faces. The only problem is I have a terrible photographic memory and after taking someones order, I won't remember their face. Ginkgo helped a bit with this, but like I said - nothing amazing
I think it made me a bit more alert and able to work out problems a bit more and multitask but this could have been placebo or all the coffee I drink when I work
dude, look into bacopa. seriously. and i'll get some tulsi tea Quote:

SillyMe said: I've been ingesting turmeric daily for about 1-1/2 years now. I have a skin disorder and the dermatologist wanted to put me on antibiotics for life to put it in remission. NOOO WAY was I going to do that. So I started researching online and found one post from someone who has the same disorder and said turmeric worked. I bought some and within three weeks it had cleared up. The only time it's reared its ugly head is when I space out and stop taking it for a week or so but then I just start again and it's gone.
How and how much do you dose? I've been putting a pinch in my daily cacao shakes but now I'm considering eating more...

you need way more than a pinch my brother. try what i said, 7g in a cup of preferably raw cow's milk, or maybe even almond or coconut. the thing is, it absorbs way better with fat. and of course healthier fats the better. also, black pepper is absolutely essential to the absorption of curcumin (the beneficial bioflavanoid you want,) so add anywhere from 1/10 to equal parts of black pepper to your tumeric when you consume it. bromelain (from pineapple) also enhances its absorption

Thanks for posting this owls.
I'm gonna take up your challenge and get a pound and some raw milk and start this next week
I've taken tumeric before, but not in large enough amounts or steadily for a long enough period of time to really experience its effects.
I've recently heard about bacopa too and am gonna look into it more and maybe add it to the regimen in the near future. What are you experiencing with it and how much are you taking?

I love tumeric and ginger, but why mix it up in milk? Cook with that and get some lovely orange daal.
So simple
Red Lentils Butter/Ghee An onion, or shallots. salt, to taste. Tumeric Garam Masala (or other spice mix) Garlic
Boil water. Add lentils to the water. Mix in the spices. Whilst that's bubbling away, chop up your garlic and onions, plop it in with the butter or ghee. Wait until the lentils are mushy. Keep adding water as and when you need to. Hemp oil can go with this.
Serve with naan bread and cheesy bollywood music.
