Nothing(ness) humbles me. Pain hurts me that is different from humbling. Getting old concerns me but the body is bound to fail so to be prideful in that area seems destined for frustration as well as the inevitable degradation and death.
Todays letter is D kids. Duh!

I found this very humbling today. I was bodyboarding at the beach and for the last 2 days it has been the biggest south swell in years here in hawaii. So i was at the beach and riding these very big and powerful barrels. Well the power of the ocean is very humbling, but me conquering these behemoths and getting barreled boosted my ego. I thought i was so badass riding these huge waves. Until about 20 real local hawaiians showed up and shattered my ego real fukin quick. They quickly took over my spot and what i think happened is one of them was like "Look at this little bitch" and all of them started laughing, i wasnt looking cause i was pretty anxious at this point but i was no longer at all having a good time. I did not leave right away, so it wouldnt look like i was running away, but i stayed another 20 min and then left with my tail between my legs so to speak. then again maybe all of that was what i imagined in my head and didnt actually occur. Either way it was a good lesson and i say thank you to the universe.

Yea they can be. They dislike the white man for taking their land, polluting their resources and for turning all their favorite beaches into resorts.
But not all of em, theres douchebags everywhere int he world.

The same thing happened in an episode of "rocket power". When otto gets owned for surfing on a sopt that belong to the locals, which they called "locos". You just have to be respectful and wait your turn. You have to wait there until they give you permission to surf.
