Why? 'Cause my workplace is filthy (It's obviously a basement...) and I say FUCK HEPA filters for pre-conditioning air. No sir, I don't like 'em. Too expensive. Why not nuke the trich?
OZONE GENERATOR
Some shots of the outside:
Ports open. The left is the exaust fan, right are air intake holes:
The internal workings - 115v Computer fan from radioshack, 6000v neon sign transformer (FranceFormer brand) and a 5x7 glass from a picture frame with some metal door screen siliconed on there on spots i etched out with my dremel - the coolest little tool known to man:
And check out the retractable power cord!
More of my bullshit to come...

Ok, to answer some questions: It cost me jack shit to build - $10 for the case at lowe's, $23 for the transformer on best buy, $1 for the glass, $5 for the big ass roll of screen, and $2 for the silicone, and I canibalized some wiring. Power - It runs on house current - 120v. The transformer converts to 6000v, which WILL KILL YOU IF YOU TOUCH IT. Be careful, guys - the whole thing works because at that high of a voltage, it can shoot electricity through that pane of glass, effectively creating a corona discharge ozone generator. I actually USE it to pre-treat my "Clean Room" before working - and PooPs knows whats up - don't breathe too much of that shit! My ozone generator is POWERFUL, and I take anything I want to keep alive out of the room, and let it run for a half hour and then let shit settle for a half hour - then go to work. I had a post a while back where I did some transfers in the open air after running it - contam rates were 9/10 jars without ozone treatment, and 2/10 jars with - pretty good treatment, not perfect, but will give you an extra edge. Edit: And yes, it stops the smell of weed dead in its tracks - but for a garden, I would manufacture the thing a little bit different - make it an air scrubber instead.

What exactly do you ask/look for on the transformer? Can you take some close up shots of the glass/screen/etching?
Thanx

Oh, I suppose... I'll post em tonight*. What you're looking for is a 6000 - 7500v "Neon Sign Transformer" I lived in a pretty large town when I bought mine, but could not find one - I ran the yellow pages with no luck. Ebay, however, got me one in a matter of days. Look there. * Edit - The pictures came out like shit - but look, it isn't that hard. Cut the screen 4x6 for a 5x7 piece of glass, sand/etch/whatever the corners where it will line up with the glass, and silicone it on there. REAL easy.
