I was out in my garage and saw some old bean bags that had rips in them, and the beans were falling out... and I thought to myself, self, that looks like it just might work instead of vermiculite. what do you guys think? I might try it, but this would be my first time growing mushrooms, and I'd probably screw it up some other way anyway, but I'll still try it. (I'm also going to be using a reynolds oven bag instead of jars just cause I can't get jars...) anyone have thoughts on this? anyone more experienced have some spores to waste and want to try it? huh huh do ya do ya?  :smirk:

Gotta see if they melt at 250F and hold water...if they survive the tests then they would probably work....but just remember...your butt's been on that thing and they may pick up the flavor.....Mmmmm....buttshrooms....
