Well, it happened to me...

But if the voltage was high enough to jump 2-3 feet, it would be fatal, wouldn't it?

Nope, definitely not. I have worked quite a bit with vacuum tube electronics and a charged 400V capacitor can make you jump like that without killing you. Try for yourself and touch an electric cattle fence once; you'll see what I mean. Those things are designed to convey a charge that is sufficient for a significant jolt (they're intended to shun cattle, mind you, and a cow is a bit more sturdy than a human being) but not enough to kill (it would pose a huge human safety risk otherwise). But I must stress that I'm not in the US, and the equipment you use over there might be more dangerous; I don't know.

Well, most of our electrical things are actually weaker than yours.  So maybe that's why here, our electric fences aren't charged enough to jump through the air.

I don't think I saw that one.. I did see one where they tried to make a water tazer though.

I don't recall exactly where I did hear it though.

Voltage isn't what kills you, it's current.

Oh right, amps.  Or is it joules?  Shame on me. :gc:

What were volts, then?  The ability to jump a vacuum or something, right?

I haven't taken physics since junior year.

Opted for organic chem instead of physics, though I would have taken them both if my scholarship would have paid for it.

oh wow getting chilli sauce on your balls HURTS

anyway... when I was playing rounders at school someone hit the ball and it hit me right in the dick... it was so painful

the creepy thing was our teacher (who was eventually suspended for being a pedo) wanted to have a look at it to see if 'theres any damage'.  :feelsbadman:

Voltage is potential, simply the degree of difference in electrons, or electron-baring properties between two objects (I think?). Current is the degree of actual electrical charge there is, how many electrons will flow when the circuit is closed.

A high voltage, low current system is like hole in your gutter, dripping small amounts of fast-moving water (high gravitational potential, low water flow). A low voltage, high current system is like the Amazon river, large amounts of slow-moving water (low gravitational potential, high water flow). A high voltage, high current system is like the Niagara falls, it really fucks shit up. (I think?)

Forgotten what exactly joules is, something like available energy to do work, or something. I dunno, I failed 11th grade.. Too much drinking and penis abuse. :crankey:

That is all correct, except for joules.  Joules are simply a unit of measurement for energy.
