Cakes are not pinning... Pls help

I've had my cakes in my terrarriums for about 2 weeks now and no pinning has started, I'm growing penis envy shrooms and it's taking forever, it took about 3 months for my cakes to fully colonize which is insanely slow. I've read that some people place their cakes that aren't even 100% colonized into their tarrariums and within 2 days they have pins. Wtf is wronge with my cakes. I've dunked my cakes for 24 hous then put them in makeshift chambers. There seems to be no contamination but there is a small white fuzz on the outside. Anyone pls tell me what I'm doing wronge or what I need to do

Give us more details, maybe some pics of your FC. There are too many variables. 3 months? That is really slow, even for PE.

Your probably right, I feel as though I can only get maybe 1 hour of light a day or even less. The reason for that is because there's other children around and my parents lol... If they found out I'd be skrewed. My terrarium is a 3 liter pop bottle cut in half. A 2 inch layer of percilite on the bottom, and a peice of tinfoil seperating the cake from the percilite. I have one hole in top and one at bottom so co2 can leave but I'm gonna put a lot more holes for more air exchange. Sorry I can't put any pictures on, but for the first cake I dunkd n rolled and for the second I just dunkd for 24 hrs each.

Ok I'm starting to see very small black dots in 2 of my cakes now, wish I could upload a pic but I have no idea how to on an iPod, the only thing I'm curious about now is that the small dots havnt grown at all in the past 2 days. Will they hit a growth spurt soon?

Im sorry to post this off topic but that picture is freaking sweet. Never seen so many mushrooms in my life. To the OP, I feel your pain man. I am waiting "patiently" for the first signs of pins myself

Are you misting and fanning? Do they feel dry? You have to tell us if anything seems wrong to you. Any suspicions basically?

I mist the cakes about 3 times a day, I have no heat source so it's kinda cold I guess, it does look like it's dry and what I thought were pins were just small Vermiculite pieces, so it's been about 3 weeks in the terrarium and still no pins. It's actually pissing me off now

My shrooms are finnaly starting to grow, their 8 days in from pinning and their taking awhile. There's Only 3 shrooms growing and their not even as big as half my pinky. Why are they such tiny shrooms growing and not bigger ones?

I'm guessing it was not enough fae or light, that seems to be the major factor preventing most people from achieving pins and fruitbodies.

Ok, my shrooms started to grow but they only grew about 3 centimeters before the veil broke!!! Wtf is that and they only had 3 on the first flush and no second flush, wtf is up with that, also I figured out that the mycelium only grew on mostly on the outside and the inside barely has any on it. Y is that happening, also the shrooms that started to grow, grew from the bottom of the cake between the cake and tinfoil, it has no light there, y is it growing there and not on top or sides????

Sounds like lack of hunidity for them to be only growing between the cake and foil.
So your cakes weren't colonized in the middle? Possible contam or maybe they were packed tight. IDK man. Start over lol
