I've seen a few comments regarding attempting suicide and not going through with it, which does mean that they aren't entirely focused on killing themselves, and they do want to stay alive to some degree, now that's a good thing, but you just need to use the motivation in thinking how to kill yourself in thinking how to make your life better, even though it didn't work out as well for me, when I was younger, before we really had the internet for support groups and what not.
I've attempted to attempt suicide many times, no I didn't say that wrong, that's said as intended, but there's always been something to hold me back, whether it being the guilty feeling while doing it or by purposely taking as little effort into killing myself, because I am afraid of finding out what is after life.
However, I was kept in a mental asylum for 16 long grueling months and afterwards felt no more than just a vegetable, along with not being able to talk as I forgot how to, but honestly, after moving on from suicide attempts I've made, all I really have done is stay even closer to people around me, not being as lonesome as usual and actually finding activities to do such as going to the gym or going out with friends and family to places, pretty much making sure that I'm not always alone, which is how I was before suicidal thoughts came to mind.
Honestly, attempting suicide was something that turned out good in the end, because if I hadn't, I would most likely still be going through the same shit over and over in my head going crazy and becoming just another raving mad lunatic blabbering nonsense.
Oh wait, I am a raving mad lunatic blabbering nonsense, oh well!

Yeah thats the worst part is they'll throw you in an insane asylum,I od'd on a cocktail of pills(obviously not enough),woke up strapped to a gurney w/ a catheter in my d!ck and being questioned by police and psych doctors. I took like 50 diphahydamine,10 Klonopin,a few vicodin and some DXM. Luckily they beleived me when I said it was accidental, still had to be in the ICU for 3 days hooked to all kinds of machines cuz my organs almost shut down. That was basicly from the diphahydramine dehydrating me. Heroin would be the way to go,but I dont know any junkies and dont score drugs off the street. Seriously considering a shotgun, its just the mess I'm kinda worried about,it'd ruin the house. Havent eaten in 4days,pooped in 3,just been popping benzos and 1 vicodon a day,but thats just to calm me down. Dunno what to do,have sought counseling w/ little to no results. I've basicly been taking care of my granny since I was 20,so I never got to experience my early 20's,now after 20yrs I find out my uncle gets the house when she dies,WTF?Where was he?I gave up everything, and all I got was spit in the face. Sometimes its too hard to keep going on,every single person in my life has screwed me over in some way,and all I did was help them when they needed it.Everyone also lies to me including my family, when I catch them in a lie they deny it,but eventually admit it and make it sound like it was for my own good. I was also brought up w/ alot of rules, now they break every rule they made me live by for years. No common ground and hypocritical.

Well, it has been in discussion for many years, sure, it could be a source for people that want to find easy ways out, but if they really wanted to take their life, they wouldn't come on searching for ways to kill themselves, they would probably just pack down as many pills as they can, shoot themselves or jump from a great height.
I get where you're coming from, though. -- However, discovering what the painless suicides are can provide important information to you, as the thread starter stated, a few times infact; what if you were in a situation, such as where you knew you were going to be tortured, by some secret governmental police, kept alive and tortured, for whatever you've done.
Wouldn't you want to know the easiest way to kill yourself then and there, with a household object? I know I would.
Ah look at me, blabbering on like a complete idiot again.

Rotten I agree with you on that, but I just feel like making this information available to people who may already be emotionally unstable could end/ruin lives. I am not saying that people don't have the right to do what they want with their lives, just if they want to kill themselves that bad the information is probably available on google.

Your reasoning is retarded. If somebody wanted to kill themselves they would want to know a calm and painless method, so they might search first..

I think if I had to commit suicide in a more "interesting" way...well I'd have one of two options...
option one: try to make a pay-per-view event for it and make the proceeds go to your family/friends....jump out of a plane with some nitro glycerin strapped to your chest...have anyone else that may be interested in doing the same do it at the same time and all aim for a giant target.....amusing...useful...entertaining...final...great way to go out...maybe tripping too.
option two: I always heard that nightshade while completely lethal if you consume it also is one of the most powerful natural psychodelics...if there is any truth to that then I think it would be one hell of an adventure to trip to death on nightshade.

Hi all!
The almighty google brought me here as i was searching for the best ways to commit suicide. Hopefully i can get some help here so that i dont fuck up and end up a vegetable or something ^^.
My options are rather limited as i dont have access to many things mentioned itt, though, i admit i havent read the whole thread so i could have missed a good idea or two. From what i can tell my best option is OD. I dont have access to many drugs but i do have tramadol at home. Ive read that overdose of tramadol could be lethal, however, i have no idea how much of it should i take and if/how much alcohol take with it (i barely drink fwiw) so i dont end up vomitting everything out.
Helium and a gas mask might be an option as well but i dont think i can get helium other than that from helium balloons. Would helium from certain amount of helium balloons be enough?
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

invest in lumber, screws, a power drill, some rope, a cherry basket and spend some time at your local metal work shop.
build a guillotine, cut your head off.
unless you're lazy and a bad worksman
go find a bridge of a tall building to leap off of.
don't got one?
munch on pain killers until you feel comfortable enough munch a blood thinner and to slit your wrists up the length of your arm. then go take a nice warm bath and bleed out.
but if you're truely ready, why not just go buy a gun and blow your brains all over the walls?
or go steal a gun, what the hell does it matter?
i always wonder how many people have killed themselves after reading this thread. i just hope they didn't mess it up and make thier lives even worse.

I was depressed for quite sometime and through contemplation, I gradually began to feel that this would be a moderately peaceful method of exiting this realm of consciousness:
1.) I'd enter my garage, prior to this, I'd ingest a large dose of sleep pills; (not fatal.) 2.) Enter my vehicle, and activate the engine. 3.) Drift into slumber as I die of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Hi, this is my first post, obviously. I'm over 50 years old, have tried suicide 3 times so far...and I read every page of this thread...just tonight.
There's a couple things I wanna say. 1. Don't judge anyone till you been in their shoes. 2. Physician assisted death should be legal for anyone at any age, for any reason. 3. The world is already so overpopulated that by 2050, half the world will be starving to death, despite any advances we might make in food production. 4. This crap about not committing suicide because of hurting those left behind, is just that, crap! 5. Maybe all those people that you will..."hurt" when you commit suicide, should have "hurt" for you before you committed suicide. 6. Then, maybe you wouldn't be in the frame of mind to do the deed. 7. You wanna know what people on this planet are like? Simple, walk into any city in the world and start tossing $100 bills around, and watch the "nice" people start clawing each others eyes out for one of those bills. In impoverished countries, substitute for for $100 bills. 8. In these 43 pages of this thread, I've read some of the smartest and stupidest things I've EVER seen. For example...don't use a shotgun, think of the poor folk who will have to clean up. Guess no one has ever heard of the outdoors. :/ If my dog gets cancer, I can go to the vet and have him "put to sleep" so he doesn't have to suffer. I guess, at least in this thread, dogs rate higher than people. :/ 9. I personally have a mental issues, and life for me is a living hell....every day. I see psychiatrists and take meds...they don't help, they just make the paperwork balance out for the doctors. 10. The real issue here is simple. People don't want to allow other people to decide to end their life, simply because of brainwashing...it started with religious reasons, but now I haven't a clue why this is still the case. We are killing the planet to support our senseless over-breeding. I'm seriously beginning to think that the ONLY reasons we still have taboos against suicide, is because there will be one less person to share the misery of this existence with. 11. Life after death...no one knows...so any statement in that area is ridiculous. 12. Why am I still here...I seriously don't know. My 3 suicide attempts were foiled by either bad planning on my part, or just dumb luck on the parts of those who prevented it. 13. The ONLY good thing I've gleaned from the 43 page thread is that I now know that helium bag is the way to do it...various links and comments in this thread and some serious Googling have proven that fact to me. 14. That or the "Detergent Suicide", the recipe is easily Google-able.
So now I intend to keep existing, for a little while, for NO reason, depriving the world of the food I consume, until I decide to finish this funny thing called life. Why commit suicide, simple, there is NO light at the end of my tunnel. The people of this world don't give a damn about anyone but themselves, w/e they may "say". This includes those professing to help in one way or another. They do it for themselves, not for me. To my shrink, I'm just a paycheck. To the government I'm just some taxes. Even that post about WWOOF is a scam...pay $30 to even be able to read the site contents...then go volunteer at harvest time :/ I actually saw a teeny bit of light at the end of my tunnel when I Googled WWOOF...at least until I read the site. :/ We all know the way to live together that doesn't involve wars or starvation, but no one does anything. I DO want to live, I just don't want to live here, with the bipedal scum that has unfortunately risen to the top of the evolutionary chain, well at least what THEY call the top.
So thanks for the interesting read, and the hints to the info I was looking for.
