Mushrooms always small ?
    #1496236 - 04/26/03 06:09 PM (14 years, 1 month ago)

My powerbook is casing [1 inch verm, 2 inch substrate, 1/2 inch verm&coir]

for some reason [so far it's w/golden teacher, mazatepec] ...

the stems/caps are never that big? They're usually skinny & tall.

Also, the cap seems to open up early, and does really ever get too big. My powerbook would like for the cap to open up later in the maturation process, before it harvest's.

Is there any thing my powerbook can do to make it bigger?

thanks

can you use straw and/or dung, in a small casing environment ...

like in a bread tin container?

is straw or dung jujust a replacement for the top casing layer?

everything else remains the same? [procedure-wise]

The straw/dung is the substrate and it is cased with whatever you prefer. Here is a grow log of my first attempt. It shows the procedure.
