Casing question

A friend of a friend has 4 casings going. You can see the white mycelium is peaking through the layer of verm cause its cased on straight verm. The thing is they have stop growing. No more mycelium and no pins. Im thinking its cause of the fact that he has no form of heat for them but im not sure....any input

Oh yeah all 4 are innoculated with Puerto Rican spores

We need more information; how deep is the substrate and casing layer, what are the conditions the casing is in? Humidity, temperature, lighting...

The casing layer is like 3 inches thick with the substrate with a 1/2 inch of verm over top.
Its in a rubber maid container which is fanned 2 times a day and the sides are misted with distilled water once a day. And Its got a clear top which is covered but when getting fanned I let it get a little light for like a half an hour.

Sounds like you're on the right track. Mycelium will stop growing before it pins. Keep fanning frequently, keep the humidity up, and keep giving them light. Casings can take up to two weeks or even a little longer some times.

The casing layer isnt 3 inches on the top..its less then 1/2 an inch.

pre pinning needs a few points higher of rh and spraying may not keep it there-get some perlite and you will probly see a dif within a few days, but then you will have to fan a little more often once you get pins to keep the rh down.
