diffuser questions
    #1495920 - 04/26/03 03:02 PM (14 years, 3 months ago)

has anyone here ever used a diffuser? AFOAF got one and it spits water everywhere. He needs a little help figuring out how to set it up correctly to give a good fog going without having to add water all the time and without the water spitting up.

This is the way do0d (afoaf) has his setup as of now, the water still splashes up but lands in the container mostly. he was thinking that if he could prop up a lid that is smaller than the container over the diffuser then that would stop the splashing and still allow the fog to fill the terrarium.

he really needs someones advice. please help

What kind of diffuser is that?
Your idea of smaller container seems right if I imagine this setup correctly.
Some perlite could be placed on the bottom, so little splashing wouldn't hurt.

there is pearlite on the bottom of the terrarium. sorry i didnt specify. it is more like a big squirt of water that goes up and out like a fountain. AFOAF has it  corrected. he cut the lid to sit on top of the container and catch the water while still letting out the mist at the sides.

thanks for your help
