rhythm circle
    #1495841 - 04/26/03 02:33 PM (13 years, 7 months ago)

im an unexperienced tripper (only tripped one time on half 1/8), and i have the oppurtunity to trip tomorrow and go to a rhythm circle downtown. i think the the drums and all that would be really cool, but its likely to be really crowded, and ive heard that i should stay away from large groups of people while tripping. any insight/forsight/comments/suggestions?

That would most likely be awsome but the way I see it if you're inexperienced no matter where you do it you're going to have an amazing time. Also since you're inexperienced you probably shouldn't do it in a place you've never been to before w/ lots of people you dont know w/ alot of noise since you could wigout or atleast feel unconfertable.

I say you should go and check it out. If you dont like it there you can just leave.

Personaly a drum cirlce is to unoraginized for me. Especially the big ones where all you hear is this drone sound caused by all the random drumming. When I'm tripping i really apreciate the order in things >eg. patterns, music, fractal stuff.

But i think you should go and see for yourself

i suppose it depends on the number of people in the circle.. he's right, it'll sound like blended noise if there's too many people.

But, if there aren't, Do it! go! that sounds like a lot of fun. The first 2 times I tripped, we went to a theater and saw a movie. except for trying so hard to stop the uncontrollable laughter, it was a blast.

Right on.  You said your friend is nearby, so if you don't like the circle, you can just book it to his place and chill there.  I tripped in public for my 3rd experience (and for various portions of my 1st) on slightly under 2g of cubes and it was wonderful.  If you think you'll enjoy it, then by all means go check it out - just don't feel like you need be stuck there, if it isn't your thing then start walkin'

personally, nothing beats a drum circle in the woods for a trip, but downtown in the city, i'm not sure, probably still cool.

so i ate the mushrooms and went to that thing today, it was ok. me and my friend actually ended up just walking around downtown for most of the day, which was fun/weird. beautiful day though, 60 degrees and mostly sunny.
