Mushrooms in my forest
    #14956160 - 08/21/11 12:44 PM (9 years, 8 months ago)

This is my forest on sunrise

This is the first shroom I came across

And here are Amanita (I think, did not know Shroomery existed at the time I took them so had no hope of asking an ID question, this is just to share my joy when I came across these beauties)

P.S see if you can spot the snake in the last photo  ha ha I did not even notice it at the time I took the photo !

Cheers !

The mountains look a lot like the san mateo mountains in CA.

Your mushrooms are Laccaria sp. and Amanita muscaria.

Cheers Alan !

I did not expect an ID because of poor details to the photos but now I can't help but wonder is Laccaria sp magic or deadly ?

I will go through those woods again next year same time and kinda remembered where I saw it, there are a lot of them, this was taken in South Africa close to the little town of Barberton and the border of Swaziland

Grova might be, the head and eyes looks a lot like a snake especially with the fuzzy part in front of the mouth that looks like a tong. But you are probably right haha

Neither. They are supposedly edible but not of any culinary value.
