Could this be green mould?

Hi, my first post in the shroomery, I'm usually over at Overgrow.
Now I'm a newbie to shrooms so I have this question and I've only just noticed this on one cake so far. Is it green mould or is it mycelium bruising? I can't tell as I'm not familiar on what's what. No experience. Yes, I've looked through at the FAQ and lurked, but seen no pics of it at "early stage" and close up. Please look at the pic I have posted.
If it is the beginning of green mould, what's the best solution? I've read H2O2 doesn't kill off mycelium, only spores and if that's the case, then it would stop green mould spreading via spores (?), but not kill the "beast". Should I carve out the danger with a flamed sterile knife?
Thanks Erl.

Hi daba, thanks for help and the warm welcome.
LOL @ OG'er invasions. I guess there's a few here.
Anyway I wasn't 100% sure and I did with a flame sterile knife tip, just gently scraped back some of the blue material. There was no discolouration below the surface. Oddly enough, it appears a blue-green colour under the yellow of an incandescent light (hence me fearing green mould), but more a blue colour under the more white colour light of a halogen. Best I wait for daylight (true full spectrum light) to really tell. Though where I bumped the cake with the knife tip, it too has done the same discolouration and almost within minutes. So I guess it's just bruising....well I hope it is.
Thanks again Erl.

That cake looks healthy. I see a bit of mild bruising but your ok.
What you wanna look for is growths or masses. Greenmold gernerally starts of a offwhite mass/fuzz that spreads super fast and turns green when it matures (the green is actually the spores). It doesnt take much more then 12-24 hours for green mold to mature.

Thanks MAIA & baraka.
baraka, I'll keep my eye out for that and thanks on the desciption. I've only seen green mould the once, it was one of those supermarket sold Agaricus mushroom kits. I have a feeling it won't be the last time I see it, given all the howls in these boards about it lol.

Well, thanks daba for the compliment but unfortunately that's not true although i wish it was.
This is a common question, so the odds to someone with some experience hitting the right answer are good.
There are some people helping here that know their stuff, baraka and other knowledgeable ones are excellent analyzing and answering some tough questions.
