Allow me to introduce to you HaRDstYLe

If you only listen to rock or rap and have no favor to change your tunes a little bit then this is def not for you. It is EDM taken to more an extreme point. It does not have the bad sounds that some dubstep has.

If you ever roll. Roll to some of this. You will fall in love. WARNING: dead fucking serious you wont stop moving your fucking foot hand or head to every single beat. Its basically party beat music. Out of all the events ive gone to. The events that played this music had the most craziest vibes. You just get into it and cant stop.

IF YOUR WANTING TO KNOW of any good songs in any EDM genre. Feel free to go to my youtube channel at http://www.youtube.com/thisisedm

So if your open. Allow me to introduce to you.

HARDstyle

First gonna show you this video. Possibly the best light show in the world.

Its obviously huge in other parts of the world. That video does not stop. Just keeps on blasting the trippy light show.

Now for songs. Most songs start off just ok. Its usually a min or 2 in where it gets good. fuck it. shut up and listen.

Am I the only one who thinks that sounds awful?  Maybe I haven't heard the right song but damn does repetitive stuff like that get under my skin...

Its not repetitive though. If your talking about the bass... yes beat beat beat beat. What else would it be? lolz thats the party factor of the music. The music is mainly for rolling. If you roll to this. YOu will get it and be like lol

idk man the happy hardcore shit i really dont like

i had sensation black 2005 and 2006 and that was pretty much the only hardstyle i ever actually liked

there was one song on 2005 by dana that was like "do you want me" or some shit, i cant find it anywhere on youtube for some reason...

other than that, hardstyle does my head in.

Here is a link to a couple of hardstyle songs i made back in the day on FruityLoops when Iw as right into hardstyle and shit, Reason To Kill sounds more finished (im really proud of the melody at 1:30), it's a bit more trancey, boigb was one i made trying to nail the hardstyle sound, i kinda got it but gave up after a while because i was getting bored with it, i know youve heard the sample before but i bet you havent heard it chopped up the way i did, to make him say it in different ways

Indica did you even listen to the first song i posted or any of them? Agar-reason to kill has very similar sounds to the first song i posted. If you like that... then hell alot of this should be right up your alley.

And here is a few more songs if anyone is curious to hear other sounds of this genre.

SKIP to 2:30 This is probably my favorite.

yeah i listened to that one with the dude singing at the start, i was kinda in a rush to get to the gym... i dont like it where they just put a kick drum over some happy hardcore melody with no other substance to it, i'll give the other songs a burl when i get through the new balance CD i just bought. but all that really dark, heavy trance-synth shit
a few of my favourites from 05-06 were:

bitcrusher
braincrackin
now is the time
whatever the fuck that dana song was I can't find (do you feel me?)
baze up

and a few others i cant even remember, i tried finding the 05 CD i had, but they only have the sensation megamix and that's not even close

i'll look harder later

but for the most part, hardstyle gets really old pretty quickly for me

(btw i made that 'reason to kill' song, i have some others on soundcloud and another myspace but you prob wouldnt dig)

Agreed. Sometimes the drum beat goes in too hard.

AGAR soundcloud

There's only a mix I did and a song i've been working on for a while, my studio is elsewhere and i've had no time to work on tracks

my other myspace is

myspace.com/kjindica

the only song on that i like is Mycellium Lullabye and that was like the first song I ever made, the others are pretty meh, i should just get rid of them. i have a couple of others in the works on ableton i need to get back into my studio so i can finish the fucking things

i really wanna get into making dnb though

Like 5 years ago it wouldn't have been unusual to find a hardstyle or hardcore stage even at some massives.  Not any more.....but it still has its fanbase, their was gonna be a pretty big $5 hardstyle/hardcore party around here last weekend but I heard it got canceled :frown:

Angerfist came through last spring, a friend went and said that it was one of the most insane shows ever.

Ya lots of the newer stuff can be pretty bad

oldskool phenomenom, musical mezz, the sacrifice from 06 is good...actually all of 06 is still pretty solid.  I remember the newer ones from 08 and 09 fall off but I never really listened to em either.

Where are you talking from? No hardstyle here in the massives... Not in the states at least. Although they did have showtek play at EDC this year which is a breakthrough for hardsytle in the states.....

Are they dying out in Europe or something? Theres the whole q-dance festival thing.

I'm in Los Angeles, yea no more hardstyle, no more happy hardcore at massives....but you used to be able to find it at a few massives (not insomniac)when I first started going to raves.  I went to EDC this year and got to to catch some of showtek, that was 530am and at the tail end of a 3 day binge so I just stuck with my group, wish I would have caught more of him!

" WARNING: dead fucking serious you wont stop moving your fucking foot hand or head to every single beat."

so true:)

i love hardstyle melody. headphones in , or an good stereo, and i get overwhelmed by euphoria. hardstyle is definitly my favourite music when 'stimulated' off pretty much anything, but sober.. i tend to skip atleast a minute into most tracks, and skip to next song during the outro. but hardstyle melody will always be my #1 high:]

yes it's crazy how well done these events are.

i've been raving since hrm...97? first rave i ever went to was a moonshine records event in california...been to all the large UK club festivals (homelands, creamfields, gatecrasher, etc) which i thought were great since it featured a lot of arenas for different electronic music genres...

i think it's definitely worth coming to the EU to see a qdance event. or, go to australia :P
