Would You Ever Consider Running for Office?

I have had a number of folks tell me that they think I would make a good politician. While I am not sure whether or not to take that as an insult, I've been entertaining the idea of getting involved with politics after I graduate and potentially running for office later on in life. What about you folks?

Yes, but as an independant...not as part of any specific party. So in other words, none of you have to worry about me getting into power anytime soon.

Thank God.

I've thought about it many times. I probably wouldn't win, but I would still run, just to shake things up in Washington.

As a personal opinion, and this is not a flame.... I don't think you do well with power here so I think you would suck as a politician.

I've thought about it. As soon as I ran, though, all that porn I posed for would surface.

What exactly is it about power do you think I am bad with?...Do you honestly feel I abuse my mod power? I have only ever banned one person...if you feel that enforcing the set rules is an abuse of power then I guess that's your perogative.

I think you are too quick on the trigger as of late. That is my only complaint as you treat members of different political persuasions pretty much the same.

If I ran, I'd tell all the juicy secrets about my past before my opponent even had the chance to dig 'em up. I'd like to see how the public would react to that.

I'm thinking of running. Maybe RONO can be MY running mate....you know, since he's quitting his high pay, high power job as MOD.
It may sound weird but it would at least make the voters say WTF??

Actually..I think having two people that have opposite political views as running mates is a brilliant idea.

that's how it used to be. The winner was President then the runner-up was vice pres....it makes perfect sense to me.

I agree with you (note this date in history)

As a former politician I can safely say I will never run for office again. The pay sucks and you end up being a baby sitter for a bunch of whiny ingrates.
Hey Rono, that kinda makes it like being a Mod for the Shroomery, doesn't it?
Also if any of you are ever thinking about running I suggest you "climb the ladder". As I have mentioned before anyone in the US can be a precinct committeeman. Senator Voinovich of Ohio, who is giving Bush objections about the tax cut, started out there. In fact, many of us did.
If anyone is interested in running for office I will help you free of charge.
Seriously.
Peace
