MY MONSTER MUSHROOM MONO 9.3oz FLUSH 1

This is an alternative thread to the last one I posted(The 11oz auto mono in my sig). It's to show that you don't need an automated set-up to have amazing yields. It's more about the grower or should I say the environment the grower creates and genetics.
This grow and the auto-mono grow were both done using the same isolate. I isolated and tested about a dozen until I hit the jack pot. It's one sick piece of work.
Spawned this with Rye

Substrate was a horse manure straw compost(first time using compost), some verm, and some gypsum.

I spawned using Fahsters layering technique and sat the tub on a shelf that receives 12/12 ambient lighting while it colonized. This took about 10 days. I waited several more days for consolidation and when fully knotted and primordia had formed, I introduced the tub to fruiting conditions. Direct lighting, removed the tape from the holes and replaced with polyfill.

Unlike the my auto-mono which was truly sat and forget, I gave this one some TLC. Folks, if you want to get the most our of your tubs please give them adequate FAE and a mist. I misted it twice a day, morning and night. I did cheat a little bit. I used the same air pump on a timer for FAE. It kicks on 8 times a day. See the little tube in the second picture.

Not only was it a beautiful canopy, but they were monsters. These things were huge. At least a dozen were over a foot tall.

Single flush total.....9.3 oz's cracker dry

I am glad you posted... I have been looking for the auto-mono thread you posted, so I could check out your set up again. I had most of it in my head, but wanted to look at it again. nice set up... great job Oh, and the way you layered your spawn with more spawn toward the top is a nice idea as well.

The layering of the spawn, in the sequence i did it; not my idea. That goes to Fahster. Do a quick search, you'll find it. And yes they are large, not weak either. If you read this thread and then click on my auto sig thread you'll get the point. Either work great, as long as you know what your doing. I'll update this tomorrow. I wrote it quick and left out some detail, but the jist is there.

Of course you can. Use the advanced search feature. Check out posts by, Ohmatic, Fahster, and Monster Mitch. That should give you all the info you need. Just replace the grain spawn they use with crumbled cakes.
