Fuel Injected Engines, Air Intake Mod?
    #14919257 - 08/14/11 04:56 AM (12 years, 9 months ago)

Without utilizing the fuel injector array of a vehicle, could
atomized, gaseous vapor be fed into powering its engine through
the air intake valve?

This portal into the engine system is the path by which a
hydroxy booster system is designed to operate with a fuel injected
vehicle.  While an EFIE chip would have to be installed to see
any gain in performance, the simplicity of using fuel vapor through
the main air valve, providing it works might be enough all by itself
to see a rise in mileage per volume of liquid fuel.

Yes, but be sure to bypass the flux capacitor.

With an fuel injected engine, you want the fuel as atomized as possible and delivered as close to the combustion chamber as possible.  I'm a big fan of carbs, but it's a given that the AFR and cyl-cyl distribution will prove less consistent when the fuel is delivered further up the intake path and mileage will also suffer.  TBI did'nt work out all that great after all.  Stick to the proven mods for fuel injected cars i'd say.

However, a system of managed secondary injection(particularly of methanol, water, or propane) for engines which utilize positive manifold pressure via a supercharger ot turbo may net positive results via charge cooling and the suppression of detonation.
