S. rugoso-annulata Visions' basket style?
    #1491751 - 04/25/03 02:41 AM (13 years, 7 months ago)

You think a modified Visions basket would work for SRA? Maybe mix the straw with some rich soil from the garden and case it with the soil, and peat.

Thinking about giving it a shot. How is SRA normally done indoors? I've got a petri going from the culture I got from Anno a while back.

"The mushroom cultivator" gives the fruiting substrate as

Cased wheat straw, whole or chopped, and balanced to 71%-74% moisture content. This species has also been grown on substrate of alder/mapler chips mixed with mature horse manure using natural cutlture techniques.

Dont know if thats helpfull or if yuo own a copy anyway.

No, I don't. Wish I did, but my nex $100 is being spent on a college algebra book, an ounce of Anadenanthera colubrina seeds, and a kilo of Yerba Mate.

What do you use for spawn? Grain?

tmc says:

Standard spawn media: Rye grain or chopped wheat straw.
