Bacteria and moulds are very different forms of life.

Bacteria are prokaryotes, they don't have a true nucleus among other things.

Fungi (moulds) and animals are actually *very closely related*.

Fungi and animals are eukaryotes, we have a true nucleus and organelles.

Some bacteria only grow in light, some wont at all. Some bacteria need O2, some can't live aerobically.

It all depends on the species.

I have seen moulds in light and dark.
