misting monotub question

okay, so what is the deal exactly with misting your colonized sub in a tub? is it good? it it bad? as far as i can tell from what i've read it seems you should mist the sides of the container and the lid to create humidity. i've read some people say mist the colonized sub lightly... iv heard some people say dont mist it at all, it risks damaging fragile mycelium strands, it'll draw all the moisture it needs from humidity in the air and moisture in the soil.....
WHAT IS TRUE? WHAT SHOULD I DO? ANY ADVICE? I THANK ALL OF YOU.

its diff in every situation i would say. its better to keep the lid on if you have good fae and humidity. but if needed, spec. after first or second flusg you may benefit from a fan and mist. Pics would help.

If the substrate is looking dry, mist, yes.
If it looks like this:

There's no need to mist
Invest in a cheap cigar hygrometer (analog) that's calibratable. Put that in your mono & You'll know what your RH is at in 5 minutes.

I'm using coconut coir and verm for my monotub. 650 grams and 2 quarts of verm. Should I mist the tub any at all and what is the ideal RH?
I'm using micropore tape with two holes on each side and one hole on each end.
