Oh okay, for some reason I thought it was the reverse.
I didn't have my hopes up but did get a little excited with the black print. Had a few pan foes earlier in the year that let me down

No. From the look of the cap, gills and stem, I don't think they are even a Panaeolus species. Sorry mate.

You're right, I had so many pann sub look alikes in the past and knew these didn't quite look or feel like them but was hoping maybe I was just off because of their size. I've had about a dozen different species of fungus I've been looking into in my lawn this year. Moving out of state and not having anything to do here has made for a bored jelly!
Thanks all!

also if there is no manure of some kind in that soil it is not possible to get cincts
plus it is probably too late where you're at, the east coast seems to have a short season for these, but i could be wrong

Hehe, yeah I am starting to think I'll just have to wait for somebody to drop something on the sidewalk on accident for my kicks. Looks like slim pickin's in PA right now.
Working from home makes a man stir crazy sometimes. Still been an interesting hobby to take up, I appreciate all the ID's from here so far.
Found some stuff that adds some flavor to dinner time at least.

feeling a bit guilty because i stopped trying to id mushrooms that weren't of any use to me, so i can usually definitely say what things aren't, but feel a bit apathetic about what they are sometimes=wrong id's
less student more hunter, C/C-, just passing
