Substrate/Yield

Ok every time ive ever grown Ive used the BRF cakes. I was wondering if all these alternate substrates ive been seeing work better and if so in what ways are they better (how much more do you get etc...). Brown Rice, Birdseed, Rye Berry, Millet, some other wheat/grain or maybe a Brown Rice/Birdseed Combo? Which do you experts think is the best substrate out there and could you toss me a link to a place that explains how to setup the best alternate substrate? thx in advance!

Aged Horse / Cow manure & straw combo and/or Compost w/4 to 6 inch deep substrate will give you the best B/E ......... :tongue:...........IMHO.

Look up RoadKill's Horse Poo Tek.

Ok i prolly should have said what is the best other than poo lol. Dont think im ready to take it to the next level by using poo. What other than poo?!?!
