TEMPERATURE SWINGS DURING FRUITING

what can mushrooms tolerate as far as temp. swings? is 60f to 84f way too much of a swing? Also(there is so much controversy over this)how much, if at all, are you really supposed to mist and fan in a sgfc.I know RR is going to yell at me over this but every time I look up anything about it, people say to mist 3-4 times a day still. I did, however, get over the fear of humidity because I fruited 4 jars last night and with 5 and 1/2 inches of perlite, the RH stayed at 93% which is 100% with my piece of #@*# digital weather station. So maybe I should only mist when the RH goes down or is it simulating rain or something when you mist?

Swings are ok, but 84F is a bit high. You risk contaminations and other issues. Colder temperatures will only slow your growth, but no damage will be done.

60f will slow my mushrooms growth if they are pinning or will slow the pinning process.....or both?

Both. The biggest pinning trigger is FAE. Light and temp are secondary. Not having the proper pinning temperature may actually lose you some potential pins but they will still grow, just slower. The reason we have all these guidelines for growing is to give the optimum growing conditions. Mushrooms grow in the wild in some crazy conditions, and they will probably grow in your fruiting chamber in those same conditions, but you won't see great results if you don't stick to the guidelines.

60s-80s° is not an uncommon range for outdoor temperatures where p. cubensis grows naturally. Cuba (where the name "cubensis" comes from), for example. Many of the other "appellations" marketed by vendors (Thai, Florida, Ecuador, Amazon, etc.) are all distinguished as being hot and humid locations, and the night/day cycle necessarily means temperatures will not stay constant.
That said, warmer temps are often counterproductive in an indoor environment, as the often stale air indoors combined with hot temperatures stimulates the growth of thermophilic molds and other pests, so room temperature (70s) is generally regarded as ideal.

OK, i'll try to keep my temps lower but I have no insulation so its hard, whatever the temp. is outside, just add 8 or 10 degrees and that's what it is inside. At night it's different because I can turn on a heater but no air con. Audiophoenix, I was looking at your "mysetup" link and one of mine is not too dissimilar from yours. Do you leave your humidifier on all the time? If so is it on max setting or what? the only real difference is I have cakes and now I have a sgfc but the air is too dry to keep a window open for cooler temps(and FAE) it just sucks the moister right out of my chamber so I was thinking about piping the humidifier into my sgfc now that I taped up some of the holes, do you think that would be OK? Oh yeah yesterday the humidity got down to 72 while I was at work.
