Syringe filters vs pollyfil vs tyvek for LC

So I wanted to make some new LC lids as I think it will help things be more sterile and sterile is good.
I already have the injection ports but wasn't sure if I need syringe filters or if I can use pollyfil or tyvek?
I have used the search engine and understand that I need some sort of gas exchange to prevent a vacuum in the jar (I've experienced this before and it is not fun) but I can't find info if there can be an acceptable substitute?
Thanks in advance

Syringe filters are best for LC. A sponsor, The Mad Season, sells them.

Budget vs. availability vs. experience.
Any filter material used on LC lids, with the exception of syringe filters, run the risk of becoming moistened when the LC is shaken to break up the myce. or, right before drawing up into syringes.
Poly-fil is at more of a risk then tyvek, from becoming moistened during the shake of the LC.

That is why when using tyvek, filter disks, etc on LC's it is important to only fill jar a third full with liquid. Then you can twirl the solution and break up device (a screw, marble, or what ever to chop through) inside the jar without splashing it up onto the filter.

Woah I like that idea... can you give some more details as to benefits of using that extra part that reaches out to the liquid?

It's there so you can suck the myc from the bottom of the jar.
2nd hole is so you can inoculate it.
3rd is filled with poly fill for GE.
