over cooked LC carmalization bad???

I just tried to make a new batch of LC and apparently missed the part that if you pressure cook it too long the karo will carmalize. So now i have 4 quarts of over cooked LC. it turned pretty yellow...
So will this LC still work or is it going to get contaminated??? (i spent so long worrying about stearalization i figured more time would be more steril... im a dumbass)

Ive been looking at this online and so far i have found people saying it does matter and people saying it doesnt

i dont think the issue is it contaminating, its if the karo will have any sugars left to be used as food. karo and water is cheap just toss it and redo it.

its no problem at all.

there is MORE than enough sugars in there.

in fact, a solid carbon fleck will provide a substrate inside your nutrient solution that the mycelium will love to grab hold of.


mycelium isnt used to growing in water

I pressure cooked mine for 60 minutes at 15 psi. I also was using a tek that said to boil potatos in the water first to increase nutrience.

It came out yellow with tiny white specks at the bottom.

I realized i tripled the normal amount of pc time you think it could still be good.

An hour at 15 psi isn't going to caramelize the karo.  Specks at the bottom is normal.  I seriously think it's a mistake to be using LC anyway, but that's all been detailed before.
