im looking into doing birdseed for the first time and wanted seniors advice on the comparason of the 2. so....if anyone has birdseed expecience behind them, it would be much appriciated if they shared the info. thanks for the time, responses are greatly appriciated.

Birdseed rules over BRF.

is it easier/or harder, i know for certian the yields are bigger, is birdseed more prone to contams.

It's easier, it is more prone, that's why a PC is required.

damn, i HAVE to have a pressure cooker, i hate boiling my jars, is there another way? could i boil birdseed

There is an alternative way to doing grain without PC, but it doesnt seem very successsful. Search in forums and go to FAQ.

As an alternative to a pressure cooker, there is a technique called fractional sterilization. I'm not sure how effective it is and it looks like a huge pain in the ass. Why not get a PC?
In my experience, BRF is a substrate which produces low yeilds of weak mushrooms.

If you watch long enough you should be able to get a good PC on ebay for under $20. Gotta spend money if you want better results.
Your other alternative would be to spawn BRF jars on dung or straw.
