My iguana is near casing his jars, but he notices that some with beautilful white growth also has a brown fuzzy growth with white fuzzyness out it's outside. Would removing the infected part (and the part of the cake that hasn't been grown on, the un colonized rice) and dunking in a 1:10 h2o2:h20 solution be a good idea? would it do anything? Thanks!

I don't know what contaminant could be but if you want to do something about it as an experiment then dunking like you said is a good idea. Btw, if you are going to do casings, DON'T mix good cakes with dubious or contaminated ones.
