Since autumn last year, my life was obliterated. The very special woman I was sharing life with decided it was not for her The farm I was living on was dispanded (rather nastily), leaving me homeless for months in the cold and very wet winter we're having. I lost my job, and my income has dwindled to nothing. I am now back at the house of my mums while the family rally against me for reasons unkown. I just have to keep going....
So... I was 'trusted' but I abused that trust. I hope I can make amends.
I have a good chunk of Ephedera to distribute, but please UK ONLY as I have almost no cash to mail these critters out. (Infact SAE's would be a godsend!!)
Interest to my inbox please, I won't get into a discussion about distribution in this thread.
The revolution is dead - LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION!!!!!!
shit happens, the courtesy you had to explain and make up says a lot about you especially in your situation. hope your life takes a turn for the better, Good luck!
Why thank you Sir.

My plant looked like that... why doesn't it stay upright forming into some sort of shrub, pupping along the way - isn't that what it's supposed to look like in nature?
I think I traded away my plant(s) years ago but I found my old seed stash and if I have space I will be growing some.. though I would try to not let it fall over all around this time..

Sometimes it is in a greenhouse, this year it will stay outside until autumn, full sun, south facing garden. Overwinters in an unheated greenhouse, treated sort of like a succulent, maybe a small water through winter so the soil doesn't fully dry out for months.
The sprawling might be from growth happening with little breeze to encourage strength. I'll prune some later and try to root cuttings.
They do become usable from at least 3 years old, I've not tried any younger than that.

All of mine have since been given out. A slim chance there are some out there still perhaps. How long they remain viable I don't know.

Indefinitely.
I'm finding that desert plants are adapted to fire, smoke, and monsoons. I see a hillside shift, or chaparral reduced to smoking cinders, then new stuff grows (in Ephedra's native environment) which I have never seen in my entire life.
The same specie will take different forms, depending on whether it grows in loose sand, between a couple of rocks, in full light, or at the margins of shade, etc, etc.

Well, admittedly it was pretty wispy compared to what it could be like, but I just grew it in the windowsill maybe with some really minor supplemented lighting..
This time I got HID though.
