Habitat: growing out of what i thought was the ground on a fallen tree, on an old indian mound in East Central Florida, near olrando
Gills: greyish/black fuzzy, almost like totton
Stem: stem was very hard like a piece of wood. p Cap: hard like the stem on top but where the gills would be it can be compared to a hard pillow? or like VERY firm but it was fuzzy

the pore surface looks moldy, not good to use if it is moldy.

I have a paper called "Study of some Ganoderma species" by Steyaert i can send you.
You would need a microscope for a positive ID. For convenience sake ill call it Ganoderma lucidum
Im sure it still has its healing power but it looks like its contaminated with mold. I wouldn't use it.

Do Reishi mushrooms grow in Oregon on the bases of rotten trees and have no stems and look like conchs?

Not sure about Oregon, but that's what most of them look like when I find them.

I made tea out of the stem of one looking like that about a year ago! The pores/pileus were bad, but the stem tasted alright to me!
I wouldn't constitute that as real advice though; I'm kinda dumb sometimes.
