Why can't they come up with a solution to the debt problems going on right now?
Why do we have such a fucking stupid government? Bunch of agenda pushing pussies. I love how government people on the news look like they're all lying through their teeth.

They're just playing political games at this point. They're all thinking about what posture they're going to strike for the 2012 elections. It's influencing their policy decisions more than the policy itself.
I swear to God I gotta get out of this fucking country

They are smarter than you think we have 14 trillion in debt and we only make 2 trillion annually its like a person making $30,000 have a $210,000 house they are trying to pay off but what u dont realize is that if u have the debt for long enuf maybe we can get it forgiven or that all currencies are going to collapse and there will be an international currency either way we are not paying that $ back

Not everybody is stupid in there and have their own agenda. Most of them are honest decent people that truely wants to make the country better.
They all seem bad because of the few that are corrupted.

No business interest, big or small, stands to benefit from such an outcome. And yet, the Republicans seem backed into a corner by a segment of their voters so bent on ideological purity that they're prepared to destroy our economy.

my partial take on congresses lack of ability stems from me seeing older people around me.now i don't have anything against older folk but quite a few of them are on a number of powerful pharms (age and pain will do that-i totally understand
so why wouldn't good ol congressmen so and so be be flying high on a bunnch of pain killers and anti-depressants?

The entire elected government should be payed whatever the average median salary is. Then there would be some incentive for those assholes to do something. They live like kings while the average person stuggles to eat and be housed, it's just not right.

Its certainly not because of their job wage though, they make an upper middle class/low higher class income.. The real money stems from 'gifts' from lobbyists and 'donors'.

Congress is bought and paid for just like Obama.
The US was taken over by the european banking cartel back when they accepted the fed reserve. Control the money, control everything. Everything needs funding.
They arn't stupid, they are sly. The people are stupid because they don't even know their own history and believe its all a theory whilst sitting amidst the shit created by the same foreign banking cartel.
Luckily a lot of people are waking up now finally. It takes a complete collapse before people figure out the same game that has been played historically in every western country...
Control money, create propaganda, control war.
Money, military, media. Same shit thats been happening since forever. Learn history people.
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results" - Einstein.
The people have to take the country back, jail the bankers, setup an honest currency and stand by that constitution that now means nothing. Its so mainingless that the USA is most comparable to Nazi Germany at present.

None of our debt problems can be overcome without abolishing the Federal Reserve and having the Treasury put out interest free money on its own authority.
The more debt we're in, the more interest we have to pay. "Our" government is working for our creditors to milk the tax paying public for interest payments, that's why we keep digging ourselves deeper into debt.

It sucks, but the only thing I can think of is no more incumbents. We should try to get as much fresh blood in there as possible. If that don't work, we need to start over.

why do you think none of these fuckheads have explained why leaving the debt ceiling where it is will cause us to default, is it because they continuously over spend and feel they need yet another credit card to pay off the last one. we see how that works on the small scale, it's stupid to believe it works on a larger scale
the people need to inform the fuckheads in charge that you cant operate in the red for 5+ decades and expect to end up in the black without cutting the spending... the 2011 budget shortfall is 10% of the national debt. hell, there was even a concession in bonehead's bill to raise the debt ceiling but another dumbass wants to have a Newty pissing contest

ahh that's not how the United States Constitution gets amended :
Quote:
Two-thirds of both houses of Congress vote to propose an amendment, or Two-thirds of the state legislatures ask Congress to call a national convention to propose amendments. (This method has never been used.) To Ratify Amendments
Three-fourths of the state legislatures approve it, or Ratifying conventions in three-fourths of the states approve it. This method has been used only once -- to ratify the 21st Amendment -- repealing Prohibition. The Supreme Court has stated that ratification must be within "some reasonable time after the proposal." Beginning with the 18th amendment, it has been customary for Congress to set a definite period for ratification. In the case of the 18th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd amendments, the period set was 7 years, but there has been no determination as to just how long a "reasonable time" might extend.
The Constitution, then, spells out four paths for an amendment:
Proposal by convention of states, ratification by state conventions (never used) Proposal by convention of states, ratification by state legislatures (never used) Proposal by Congress, ratification by state conventions (used once) Proposal by Congress, ratification by state legislatures (used all other times) It is interesting to note that at no point does the President have a role in the formal amendment process (though he would be free to make his opinion known). He cannot veto an amendment proposal, nor a ratification. This point is clear in Article 5, and was reaffirmed by the Supreme Court in Hollingsworth v Virginia (3 US 378 [1798]):
The negative of the President applies only to the ordinary cases of legislation: He has nothing to do with the proposition, or adoption, of amendments to the Constitution.
considering the BBA didn't even get a 2/3rds majority in the house, your statement has no baring on what is going on or grounded in reality
