Jars to fully cultivate>?
    #14835890 - 07/28/11 12:34 AM (9 years, 9 months ago)

Just wondering how long it takes for brf cakes to be ready for birthing, for the mycelium to fully cultivate, using liquid culture?
I havnt grown for a while and have forgotten i know it takes a while, there about 1/4 done but was wondering if there was a way of speeding up this process as some of my jars last year did not fully cultivate
thanks for any help

you mean colonize? you cant really put a set time frame on them, they're gonna go at their own rate. How long has it been since you noc'd them up?

Couple other factors like temp and freshness. I inoculated 5 brf jars with some a ban hua thanon LC about 2.5 months ago, and I just dunked the first jar. The others will need a couple more weeks. I used an LC that's been sitting around at room temp for a year, but no matter what you gotta let them do their thing. They are on your side and will work with you to grow

Cubes are a mostly tropical species. Then need warmth. They die in freezing temperatures. Get them inside already.

Yea its not good to have them getting that cold. You've got to keep them warmer than that

If there's any cupboards above the fridge, that's a good spot. I scoped out different parts of my house with a thermometer. 70 deg Fahrenheit is perfect.
