myco-bag question

my foaf thinks that myco bags now suck, when they first came out they were filled with air. Hard to ship that way to they now come without air inside....
anyway, he's wondering what's up with that because he has had slow as hell colonization, he has now blowen some air into the bags to puff them up (through the filter of course) and is waiting, but was wondering if anyone has had experience with this before? do they need to be inflated do you think??

I currently have 30 bags fully colonized ready to pin and fruit. The trick is to open the bags and put air in once the cake is about 70% colonized. I usually just cut the top open, fill with air, then tape it shut. When fruiting starts I remove the tape and pick via the open top, then I reseal. Haven't had a bag contaminate this way yet.

I dont know....The ones Had used in the past, I would roll them to get all the air out, they inflated on their own...no cutting, no blowing....just waiting
