Humidity to low with perlite using SGFC around 80 RH

What I'm doing is kinda a hybrid of cakes and monotubs. Pretty much they are 12Quarts cakes XD with 5" of perlite at the bottom. Two cakes in one tub. After building the tote to RR style All six sides with holes 1/4 inch, and added the perlite then put the whole thing about 5" off the ground for FAE. Misting. I'm still only getting around 80% RH. I Have to admit it's all in a closet but I don't have any other space to do it in. Can anyone give any tips?

obviously keep your rh as high as possible, but cubensis can thrive with an rh as low as 70% although it is not recommended.

what sort of hygrometer are you using? A properly built sgfc will maintain high RH

Op - Your probably not getting proper air flowing underneath your SGFC, and through your perlite to create that extra humidity. Closet usually equals stale air.

No, you're not. It's 95% or so. We get at least three or four threads a day where people keep throwing money at china for worthless pieces of shit they sell as hygrometers. If you built your terrarium per the tek, your humidity is fine. Take that thing back to the store and get your money back. Don't bother getting another one, they're all crap. I had to order mine from Germany. All we can get in the US is worthless shit from china, so save your money. RR

You're up late/early RR. Can't sleep or are you usually up at this time?
Shit, forgot you're on the west coast, so I guess it's not that late.
