Maybe his D at 2B isn't bad, but UZR says his outfield D is atrocious and always has been. And I know Kubel is terrible in the field. Their outfield then must have been epically bad last year. Maybe I'm just assuming he's bad in the infield because he doesn't look like much of an athlete and most other second basemen are short and fast or have really good hands and throwing arms like Utley.

I don't think they will as they lost yesterday and they don't have the talent, but it is a weak division so who knows? I'll pay attention to the Twins when they are over the even mark. Seven games under? I'm going to take a stretch and say they will not be.
Maybe the Rockies can take back Hurdle and send Tracy to Pittsburgh.

The Twins have had one of the best records in baseball the past two months or so.

How do they do against the contenders? The Yanks, Bosox, and upper tier teams? They don't match up well at all. But I guess the point is if they can get to 500 ball by the end of the month. I'd bet no whoever they are playing.

All they have to do is win that shitty division. The playoffs are pretty much a crap-shoot.

It hasn't been for them the last few years. They get in, they get knocked out. Like clockwork

yeah, but some of the best players on the team started this year in AAA. the playoff might be a whole new monster...in a very good, or very bad way.

Cubs trying to dump people. What club is run worse than the Cubs, the Mets? Giving Alfonso Soriano that ludicris contract and now wanting to entertain offers to trade him and absorb the majority of his shit long term contract, as well as looking to trade Byrd and then the wonderful production of Fukudome to Cleveland is so pathetic.
If you have a payroll that large and high revenue of the Cubs and to put a team as bad as that out there is horrible. What hope do they have for the future?
Red Sox, Yankees, and Phillies. Best run teams in MLB IMO.

I think the Mets are in worse shape due to their financial problems. They have a solid team (Beltran, Krod, Reyes, Wright, Davis, Bay), who could never play like one (maybe due to their lack of pitching), and now they have to fire sale all their players in order to become a somewhat respectable franchise in the next 15 years. And the Cubs are horrible for having a huge fan base and market and still not being able to put together a respectable team.
As for the best run, the Phillies only became one of the better run teams when Gillick and Amaro became GMs, I mean, the Phils have always had their good teams, but 2 titles in 100+ years doesn't make them one of the better franchises historically, although that seems to be changing somewhat.

Yeah but it probably won't last and enjoy it while you can as a Phillies fan which I guess you are, pitching most often overpowers hitting and last I checked the Phillies were 4-1 to win the series and the Sox were 10-1 which I think is due to the pitching advantage.
The Yankees are the top dog over time and probably always will be and I hate them for it, the evil empire, but they know how to run a franchise and will always be in the race unless they get decimated by injuries. I thought they would have a down year because of their age but they keep on winning but I would be shocked if they won the world series this year.

Bay is as solid as diarrhea from an infant with cholera.

I'd say your completely wrong there...he was actually MORE than solid before he put on a Mets jersey.

Rockies are fucking killing me this year
Yeah, lets keep aaron cook in the rotation when he's 0-5 with a 5+ ERA. I love Jim Tracy but it might be his time to go.

The Rockies pitching staff has been injury plagued and horrible this year. Funny how Hurdle has turned around the Pirates this year. Moving to Denver soon again and I think Blake Street and the Rockies will be dead. As well as the Broncos later this year if they play.

Horrible is not the right word. Chacin and Nicasio have been coming into their own this year. After some early struggles Ubaldo is finding his form again. But losing De La Rosa was a huge blow, and Hammel and Cook have always sucked.

So you don't think the Mauer contract is funny then?

How about that Braves-Pitt game...really rooting for the Pirates but hey, the Braves play 19 innings maybe they will be a little tired the next few games and lose a little. That call was RIDICULOUS, I think it should still be going.
And how about Utleys inside the park? I say that knee injury is looking a LOT better.
