And you should take the foil off of your colonizing jars

How? If you cover your lids with foil while in the pc this shouldnt happen

18 of the jars were stored upside down on accident for the first 3 days there doing fine just have to wait to open them to see if tops are contaminated.

I don't think the foil is that big a deal. has anyone done a side by side comparison of the gas exchange? i thought BRF cakes didn't need it as much (opposed to grain)

like i said there still colonizing great with the foil (faster than the B+ did) but the ones that were flipped upside down are very dry and slow growing.

so today i stared 5 jars of rye with a LC i made a few weeks ago. got a few foil pans and a 112 qt storage container that i am going to use as my FC, (and for a bulk grow later on.) also all 3 of my B+ cakes are pinning now(2nd flush for 2 of them) and i put one of my Cambodian cakes in there yesterday. have 3 Ecuadorian and 1 pink buffalo that should be in there by next weekend if these bottoms would hurry up and finish colonizing.

Other than getting some increased FAE those look great. If the mycelium growing up your stem doesn't bother you then by all means leave your set up alone. If you want it to stop happening more fanning throughout the day will help or more holes in your SGFC.

lost a cake to trich. it was the cake that had the dark fruit with cracked caps. oh well. on a positive note the other cakes in the FC have a good 200+ clustered pins so far.

That large cap that took off...hope you started picking and drying, or you'll have a lot of blackness on that batch...not a worry if it's for personal, but still looks odd and is an ass to clean later.
