that 7 gallon pot ain't gonna hold it for long.
and as far as fertilizer i can't keep giving it enough. coffee grounds get sucked up almost instantly and spent. it will need a 10 to 15 gallon pot before long.
and i ve heard of kratom root systems not being that big well i think its pure myth.

great looking plant bro. Ya they have decent size roots, they are trees...i pulled up a 6 foot plant once and couldnt get all the roots...the ones i got were a few meters long and a good 2" thick. do you ever freeze where you are?
why not prop it against a south facing wall and put it in ground with black fabric on top? or take some cuttings and try them out liek that to see if they handle it.
in ground will blow your mind comapred to pots.

i did but i spaced it too fafar from the house. my wife would not water it.
now i want to put it next to the spigot where the water falls. i htink that will do it good.
and yes it does freeze here. it just loses its leaves but keeps growing come spring time.

That sounds like a plant one would want to clone and work with.
You've grown a beautiful specimen, ferrel. Don't be surprised if I hit you up for a cutting one day!

wow that is fantastic. I never even thought possible kratom could handle freezes! Now i want to know how cold mine cant get lol. But they dont drop leaves there.
If i can pry a bit. about how cold is the coldest yours survived through? and is it wet when it freezes there, or dry? You got me all excited.
Well done man that is a beaut, and if your buying a house sometime, good call on the pots!

it has handled up to 19f. don't know celsius. it drops all its leaves and all tender shoots dry up and freeze burn. that s about as cold as its gotten.
and its south texas so its always a cold wet here. the mallacht was the one that told me it would go decidious. i thought it had died the first year but it didnt. now i don't worry about it in the winter anymore.
as for container gardening, i got a mango tree, a blue girl rose bush, a POM wonderful pomegranate, several mints, all my chocolates in pots, huge 15gallon potted cacti.
thats about it. it makes it alot easier to move around stuff. i recently took my short spined peruvianus and put it into a 7 gallon pot. it started to swell with water again and has a pup at the base.
i guess it like the transition.

Beautiful, beautiful kratom my friend!
I think that clone I sent you is bigger than any of mine since I'm always taking so many cuttings and spreading them around the community.
Also, never said the root system was small, it is just said that a small pot can support a 2 ft plant, I read that somehwere. Could be just cause they grow kind of spindly so the roots don't have to be that big in comparison to the size of the plant.

Taken orally, either encapsulated or simply consumed, 3-4g is a good dose.
If one were to make a tea, 6-8g is more appropriate.
The tea is nice as well, comes on stronger of course.
