SGFC perlite surface area needed?????

I got my SGFC and I want to full it with trays. I'm curious to know if the perlite in the SGFC requires a certain surface area in order to maintain a certain Rh... I don't know if putting 4 trays in my fruiting chamber would be too much, i.e. the surface area of the perlite in contact with the air might be too low causing the SGFC to have a low Rh.
Anyone got any idea if the perlite needs to have alot of contact with the air in the SGFC. And, if it needs a big surface wouldn't it be best to elevate the trays from the perlite?

ive never had a problem filling up my SGFC full of trays. the mushrooms create there own heat and humidity as well as the perlite. if you dont have an auto water fogger or mister you should mist them yourself at least twice a day that give you your humidity also if its a small SGFC it will be even easier to maintain your RH

What Doc means is it will help to elevate them, the humidity is created in a SGFC by air flowing through the damp perlite and evaporating the water causing high humidity anything you can do do keep that air flow is going to keep the SGFC running at optimal IE: raising your SGFC off the ground so air can flow up through or raising the trays so they don't block air flow. That being said your SGFC will still work with the trays not elevated and you misting but its not optimal

I'd wash them with something.....iso, bleach water solution, or just soapy water.

Pucks will work I've used pop cans cut off at the level I like I also have used them to elevate the SGFC
