All RP wants to do is put into ACTION what we SAY we are. To put an end to the blatant abuse of power in all facets of government, by ending the unnecessary programs and government agencies who are a leech on our budget, using taxpayer funds but not doing ANYTHING!!!!!! Enough of this bullshit. End politics, begin common sense.

I am none of those things.  Fuck L. Ron.  He is an idiot and an asshole.  If he was ONLY about ending stupid government over-reach that would be one thing.  But he isn't.  I've heard almost as much bullshit from him as I have from Obama/Reid/Pelosi.  Different bullshit but bullshit nonetheless

whether you agree with him or not ron paul is NOT an asshole. he tells the fucking truth and has been saying the same shit for 30 years, hes not a flipflopper. he doesnt make his views more mainstream so he can get elected. hes 100% honest. how does that make him a fucking asshole?

I would love to be able to defend my candidate. What do you find with his beliefs that are objectionable to you?

This never fucking ends.  End the Fed, NAFTA sucks, Superhighway, Fundy, gold standard.  I have posted my reasons for despising this jackass for several years.  I get sick of doing it every time some Paulboit wanders in.

ending the fed is a good idea, unless you think its possible for one guy, or even a small group of guys to predict and adjust the market for a quarter billion people.

The gold standard makes more sense than running on credit, something that is intangible. You cant hold credit.

Hey well excuse me for not subscribing to every post that you make.
The Federal Reserve continues to print money out of thin air. This is a basic principle: That act causes inflation. Inflation=Bad.

Obviously you think his ideas are wrong, and I think they are right. So there is no changing either of our stances on that.

There hasn't been any inflation to speak of for quite some time (because of the Fed) and there was plenty of inflation when the dollar was pegged to gold.

You can run on credit even with the gold standard.  It has been done.  Idiots who don't know that are why I continue to post.

ron paul doesnt want to return us to the gold standard. he has said before that we can do better than that. He wants to allow competition in currency's, and if gold is the most accepted than so be it. Anyone who thinks inflation isnt happening is delusional. prices go up and products get smaller. We were only on a true gold standard for the first 80 years after the constitution was written, and only a fool would claim to know the economic prosperity of that era. [url=

That is even stupider.  Look up the state of chaos when we had banks writing their own scrip.  The man is a moron.

That is a beautiful straw man argument you have there zap.

Congressman Paul was not advocating for banks "issuing their own scrip", he was talking about tossing out legal tender laws.

Federal reserve monopoly money (monopoly in the sense that legal tender laws apply to it and therefore it is a state protected monopoly) is prone to significant inflationary pressures due to lack of monetary competition.  It therefore loses it's store of value and eventually does not function as a medium of exchange.  This has happened throughout history regardless of the fact that you turn a blind eye to such matters.

You were saying that there is no inflation?!?

That would be true if the government C.P.I. was not a blatant lie.

Does that mean you actually believe the government data is meaningful?

I believe the L. Ron bots keep mentioning competing currencies.  Well, when we had competing currencies it was a disaster.  Fuck that shit.

Where ya' been, Al?  The pen?

Do any of you really think that the office of President holds that much power?  Think.  Ron Paul in 2012.  Okay, I'll buy it.  Then what?  He has eight years (at the absolute most mind you), probably four, to do, what?  Totally reinventing our economic system, government, popular opinion, military and foreign policies?  That's going to take 4-8 years?  Wow, Nietzsche must have been right, because clearly Ron Paul is the Superman.
Even if he would only be a catalysis for slow, gradual change, he would be the wrong catalysis.  His platform is not a new one (not even in America, by any stretch of the imagination), and the fact that it comes from a conservative, Republican Senator from TEXAS, makes it all seems a little suspicious.
I mean I thought the first black President would be the Chris Rock/Bernie Mac ticket, instead we get Tiger Woods.

You got Fred Sanford.  Tiger Woods was at least competent at something.

Well that's my point I think.  Sanford we can expect to act like Sanford.
I never bought that horseshit "hope" and "change" jive Obama was spittin, but everyone else did.  Then acted surprised when nothing changed and things got even more hopeless.  He is a politician  and he lies.
I see the same thing in Ron Paul.

Oh no, I disagree.  I think Paul is a true believer.  Unlike Obama who I think is an Obamafirster.
