they are Dutch A1 opium poppies grown outdoors in the oklahoma sun! :smile:

Poppies require cool temps. Your seedlings will probably die in the OK heat before you see any blooms. Sorry for the bad news. I started mine last October, and am getting blooms now. If you had done some research before planting, you wouldn't have wasted your seeds. Can you bring them indoors?

i planted my poppies at a place where for some reason always stays cool... they are in a garden that is sheilded from the sun by my house.. they ones in direct sunlight that were my first attempt died off .. but these are fluorishing.  :cool: i planted the seeds about mid-march.

would it be possible to transplant them to another location and have them still live? i've heard they don't do so well when transplanted.

i planted late in the season in florida.. and had over 100 sprouts.. i have around on ten left now that are doing good...
