You don't use manure in casing material. The point of a casing material is to be non-nutritious and work as a moisture/humidity control layer to help with fruiting. Using manure means you are basically spawning it to a bulk substrate, which you can fruit from but would do better with a casing layer of its own. You are better off just using straight verm.

If you are wanting to use verm/manure as a bulk substrate you are better off pasteurizing, not sterilizing. Do a search for various methods. Basically you get the right moisture content, put in a bag, heat to 140-160 for ~45 min. Then spawn. Sterilizing would make it prone to cantams, using a microwave probably just as bad.

If you are wanting to case just use straight vermiculite. You may be able to get away with sterilizing it in the microwave. Still wouldn't really recommend it though.

yea i usually spawn to bulk subtrate and then i case the bulk and fruit from that so you think that vermiculite would be the  better option for my dilemma?

If you are using manure in a casing layer you aren't casing.

And you will still probably contam regardless but if you microwave poo you will contam for sure.
