Mutant Question
    #14754166 - 07/11/11 10:23 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

Ok so I'm growing bulk in a mono/martha hybrid. This is my 4th bulk

grow and I've just harvested my 1st Flush. I have a mushroom which

appears to have a spongy cap similar to a morel, only much more

tightly weaved pattern. When the cap of this mush was bruised it

immediately turned extremely dark blue much more so than the rest......

could just be sensitive tissue since the folds in which Im trying to

describe are thinner than morel folds..... Also this cap did no open

as a morel cap does no open.  The crazy thing is I've been drying

morels in the room a few months back when I picked them from my

property. I am wondering if this is just a freak mutant and a

coincidence, or if somehow these two genetics morphed together

i'm 99% sure that what your dealing with is just a mutant. The genetics in this one fruit morphed or got damaged some how. If you really want to know you should take a clone from that mushroom and see for yourself.
