Advice with Agar to WBS
    #14751050 - 07/11/11 12:24 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

I have some colonized agar that I would like to inoculate some wbs jars with. I am using 1/2 pint, should I upgrade to bigger jars? idk..

I was just curious if there is anything special I have to do while placing the colonized agar in the jar. I am planning on using a flowhood.

Anyways, do I use the whole colonized piece of agar, or just a slice... I have about 10 colonized jars, will that allow me to start with 10 jars of wbs (1/2 pint jars...)

Thanks

Here is a pic of what most of my agar cultures look like after a week...

Should I inoculate this soon?

I'll take a triangle about the size of a dime, cut into 2 or 3 slivers, toss in a jar.
You'll want some quart jars for making grain spawn, but half pints or pints are nice for grain masters for g2g.

You make it all possible. Doesn't it feel good?

Wow, that's all? Cool, I'll be able to do quite a bit of jars!

Thanks!
