What can i do with my colonized WBS jars?
    #14750551 - 07/11/11 10:28 AM (13 years, 6 months ago)

Title says it all, I'm getting confused between casing and casing layer etc. Can I fruit them as cakes?

Grains aren't really meant to be fruited as cakes. They don't hold moisture well compared to the verm in PF cakes. They will fruit but you won't get as much of a yield as you would for the same size PF cake. You can fruit it directly but you really need a casing layer to help with moisture. That will give you better yields. A plain vermiculite casing is fine. You can sterilize or pasteurize, doesn't matter too much.

Casing will be your easiest option. Spawning to a bulk substrate will give you the best yields.
