Cloudy Karo...

Left is Karo in question, right was just inoculated fresh Karo.
There is visable myc floating in it (someone thinks its myc anyway) but he rest of the solution is quite cloudy. Would gentamicin+h2o2 be an okay idea? It doesn't ever really clear up, just a little less cloudy.

there's nothing you can do to save liquid culture or to know if its contaminated until you test it .

Well someone tried knocking up 6 half pints with it last Friday and none of them show any growth according to that someone so he hit it with some gentamicin and peroxide and then sucked up some visable myc into a syringe and hit 2 of those jars again last night and still no growth of any kind today. What could be causing the lack of growth in 10 total jars (4 MS used to make the LC and then all 6 with the LC)? Too much hydration in the cakes?

Well since nobody seems to know shit about Karo contams ill be uploading more pics for someone. The second Karo seems to be getting a little cloudy as well, but the myc growth is still much more noticeable. Someone has twirled the jars a few times today so they'll let the jars sit for 12 hours minimum and see if anything changes.

there's is nothing more to know , unless the contam is freaking obvious, you cant know whats up with it until it is tested,or if you have a microscope. injecting gentamicin and peroxide is a terrible idea, you cant save cultures like that:(
i dont know what you want to hear, it is provably better to start over and check your sterile procedure.
you have inoculated your jars two times, provably to wet by now
good luck

Well, someone would apparently disagree with it being a "terrible idea" five days after being hit with H2O2 and gentamicin sulfate from pink-eye drops, the solution is completely clear and the mycelium is growing just dandy. Maybe it was because someone have left it alone for awhile and all the myc just settled to the bottom, but since there seems to be no ill effects, someone can't agree that it was a 'terrible idea'

that someone must have 0 experience with LC or has super microscopic vision.
its is been proven time after time , you cant save LC if it contaminated.

that questions has been answered a lot in this forums
read some more, use the search engine i have tried to help you but if you still dont believe read more.
mycelim can still grow in contaminated LC and contaminats can stick to your mycelium, there is no magic additive to save or cure LC.

Dude I've been reading these forums for longer than most. I don't see why if there is bacteria in an LC it can't be killed. The LC is looking textbook, and when someone shook it today, it got cloudy again making them believe it was never bad in the first place. Oh well, this test jar will clear it all up

How does the other one look? Someone doesn't really plan on using the cloudy one, bbut experimentation never hurt.

There's a difference between experimentation, which answers a question, and dicking around wasting time with contaminated LC, which answers nothing. Your friend is being foolish and I won't waste more of my time on this.

How does this not answer a question? Why are you getting so angry about someone else's experiment? Do you think all good ideas work on their first try?
