Cobweb in PF jar? (PICS)
    #14746376 - 07/10/11 03:43 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

I think one of my jars have cobweb mold, theres a colonized mycelium white part and a grayish area which i believe is cobweb.

Let it grow for a few days, kinda hard to tell from the pics.
Looks like good rizos, so I would give another few days, then you'll know.
:goodluck:

The second picture is the suspect, its not even remotely white just plain gray and extremely stringy. Is this normal?

I'd say it's light and wispy myc.  How long since you started seeing any type of growth to what's pictured?

This is actually the last jar to begin colonization out of my 6. All of them are in the FC except this one cause it started like 2 weeks after inoculation. It looks offly strange myc because its just pure gray

My question is, how long till you saw a tiny spot of growth, whether it was myc or cobweb, to what I can see in those pics.

Hmm, I don't think it's cobweb, it would of grown faster than that in my knowledge.  Give it some time and I think you will see some snow white mycelium.

Looks like myc to me. Just keep an eye on it. Come back and update in a few days.
