Moisture content and it's specific purpose

Just to clarify for my own understanding, when it comes to WBS jars, getting the moisture content right only serves to provide what the mycelium needs to thrive and colonize the jar at that stage in the process, right? In other words, once you spawn that jar to a bulk substrate, the moisture content of the grain is not nearly as important at that point and probably has zero effect on the success of the casing as much as the moisture content of the casing itself right?

Basically correct however you don't want your grains too dry as to wick moisture from your bulk substrate also the grains are more nutritious than most bulk subs and the myc will continue to gain energy from them
