pasteurization is getting a substrate to ~160 for 1 hour at least.

how you go about this doesn't matter.

Search Damion's Elementary Coir Tek.

Easiest method to get vast quantities of bulk substrate.

Theres a difference between pasteurization and sterilization, you don't want to sterilize your substrate which is what you'll do if you PC it look up the many pasteurization teks and see which one fits your needs with what you have to work with

I have sterilized substrates before.  I just used some small Glad Ware containers with injection ports.  I directly injected LC into the sterilized substrate.  Everything colonized just fine.  It is important to note that the sterilized substrate was never exposed at any time until full colonization had been achieved.

In general, you want to pasteurize, not sterilize, but it does have its occasional purpose.

You can sterilize substrate but its more prone to bacterial contamination thats why pasteurization is recommended,a pasteurized substrate has benificial microbes which aid in the fight of bacterial attacks, sterilization kills these good microbes

Why you guys bring sterilization in the picture?
OP never mentioned sterilization.
He asked if he could pasteurize bulk with
the same method as RR pasteurizing casing in his videos.
The answer is yes.
That's a great way to properly pasteurize your
substrate.

Sterilized substrates are more prone to bacterial contamination IF they are exposed; otherwise, sterile is sterile.  Pasteurized substrates are much more capable of resistant contaminants when exposed, which is often the case with monotubs, trays, MSGs, etc.
